In a landmark moment for St Bees School, Year 13 student, Sylvia, has been offered a coveted place at Peterhouse College, Cambridge, to pursue a degree in Mathematics starting in the upcoming Autumn Term.

This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for St Bees School, as Sylvia becomes the first student to successfully secure a place at the University of Cambridge or Oxford since the opening of the school’s restructured Sixth Form merely two years ago.

This year, 11% of Year 13 students at St Bees School received interviews and offers from the prestigious Oxbridge universities.

Sylvia's outstanding academic achievements, unwavering dedication, and exceptional work ethic have played a pivotal role in her success.
