You will be expected to have achieved at least a Level 5 in Physics or Combined Science IGCSE/GCSE.

How You Will Be Assessed 

AS Physics is assessed by three external examinations.

Paper 1- Multiple Choice, 15.5% of the overall grade.
Paper 2 - AS Level Structured Questions, 23% of the overall grade.
Paper 3 - Advanced Practical Skills, 11.5% of the overall grade.

A Level Physics is assessed by two more papers which are based on content from the whole two years.

Paper 4 - A Level Structured Questions, 38.5 % of the overall grade.
Paper 5 - Planning, Analysis and Evaluation, 11.5% of the overall grade.

University Courses and Career Paths 

An A Level in Cambridge International Physics can take you anywhere in the world and is accepted as equivalent, grade for grade, to UK AS & A Levels by leading universities worldwide.

This means that with an A Level in Physics you can progress into fields such as construction and built environment, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied science, computer science, engineering, information technology and more.
